The plotlines of TV
wrap up at season's end
We see the crime get solved
We see the heartbreak mend

We think the plots are complicated
If they last several years
But we know an end is coming
That will wipe away the tears

We know they'll finally catch him
or the murderer will die
and the ship will find a harbor
and the bird will learn to fly

And we are willing to watch the drama
If they promise us a break
If the last scene says it was all a dream
And the little boy will wake

The fight with the bad guy
left a mark across her cheek.
Its bloody now, but don't worry
It'll be gone this time next week.

And we think we're being compassionate
If we hold on through the seasons
But we know she'll find her answers
We know we'll learn his reasons

If we get impatient,
we can look up at the time
And know there's one commercial left
Before everything is fine

But real life isn't like that
There's no final episode
No clue to how to wrap it up
No sign to find the road

This plotline won't resolve
The credits never roll
The camtera never fades to black
And the battles take their toll.

you sure got that right!

we survivors can understand this. unfortunately, most of our friends, family and closest supporters don't get it. maybe they are so conditioned by TV that they expect life to be like that.

our lives aren't just an episode - they're an epic!

PS - love the poem, as well as it's message.
