I agree. I got ditched for being "too depressed" recently. Which sucks because i was in hospital for treatment for it at the time. And it doubly sucks because when my so called friend was depressed I was there for him. In a way I can't really blame him, I guess it was dragging him down too.

I agree about online being completely different to real life too. Sometimes I'll tell people online things in my first conversation with them that I'd never tell my real life friends.

if they can't deal with the truth - i feel like i am better off without them. what is the point if all they want to do is relate on a mask-to-mask level? don't waste time and energy on them if it is not an authentic friendship. we have enough professional and social obligations that we have to keep up just to function in the world. to expend personal resources on a facade or sham of a relationship voluntarily is useless.

You guys are freakin awesome! You are always here to pull me up. I sooooo appreciate it. I am slowly realizing that I don't need them. I just crashed emotionally this weekend when I realized they were all gone. I know now that I have been doing just great without them and have more time to focus getting better. Thank you all for such great input, understanding and being my brothers. You are truly special in my life and that is true friendship/family.
