Will, this is remarkable and I have to admit some envy. I was close to my dad, for one, because he encouraged me to get in my own 12-step programs, as he had his. As a young adult I was able to cover a lot of territory with him before he died at 64, but not quite the emotional level you describe.

I'm right there with you. fwiw, I'm not quite your dad's age, but he's just as human as you...and he reminds a lot of my dad.
