Today reality came calling. No fault of my own I lost half my life because of the abuse and the trauma that kept me from reaching out and making good choices in relationships.

The pain of a broken heart never heals, when what you have is just not good enough you realize it is too late to be happy.

Whatever love I have is just too tarnished or too damaged to be valued. No one can see beyond the shadow of the abuse no one can even hear what this true loving heart says. I am tired of suffering.

((((F.A.))))))

You are not alone. I could have written that myself.

Smalltown80sboy thank you for sharing. I just feel like I will never be worth anything and I have no time left to fix that I should just give it all up.

Ouch
Sounds conclusive-final.

What if you got help to start making good choices and reaching out?

Would there be healing and even joy in your life?

My hope is that you will move to a better place and experience healing and positive relationships- I know it is possible. I have come a long way from the self destruction and isolation and despair that only reinforced the consequences of my abuse.

There is hope. There is a better way. Seek it. Ask.

Sorry FA I ant agree here IT is NEVER to late to be happy.
I am bordering on Fifty now, and I refuse to let those bastards that stole my youth steal another day of happiness from me. I AM a survivor, I HAVE come through so much, and I am NOT going to let those dirty stinking rats beat me down again.

I know that sometimes life and its problems seem like they will never end, but I hope that they do for you. Hang in there bro.

If you were on your death bed, I would agree with you - it's too late to be happy.

But seeing as you're NOT on your death bed, you still have the capability to learn, adapt, and grow. And as a consequence of those abilities, you can develop the capacity to learn how to be happy.
