No fault of my own I lost half my life because of the abuse and the trauma that kept me from reaching out and making good choices in relationships. The pain of a broken heart never heals, when what you have is just not good enough you realize it is too late to be happy. Whatever love I have is just too tarnished or too damaged to be valued. Would there be healing and even joy in your life? My hope is that you will move to a better place and experience healing and positive relationships- I know it is possible. I have come a long way from the self destruction and isolation and despair that only reinforced the consequences of my abuse. There is hope. There is a better way. Seek it. Ask. But seeing as you're NOT on your death bed, you still have the capability to learn, adapt, and grow. And as a consequence of those abilities, you can develop the capacity to learn how to be happy. D
