Just wanted to say hello to everyone & thank the people who make this site possible. I'm a 34 year old male from Ontario Canada, who was molested as a child by a family friend's son (a few years older than I). I never reported the incident to anyone, but as I grew older I suffered from a lot of depression, as well as dissociative depersonalization. I started talk therapy about 6 years ago, as well as antidepressants... But it took me until about 2 years ago to finally tell my wife about the sexual abuse. I'm currently not attending T sessions, because I was feeling stuck in a bit of a rut with the therapist I have been seeing. I could go on, but there's lots of time for that later.

Welcome LazyPirate!

There's alot you can learn from this site. But take it at your own pace. Some of it can be overwhelming. Read, post, you'll find alot of us have similar struggles even though our stories differ. Good luck.
