Hi, my fraternal brothers.

Beautiful song, Brother's in Arms.

I am very fortunate to have two sets of Brother's in Arms.

Right now.
1st, my Brother's in Arms, right here, for the biggest battle of our lives.

2nd, my military Brother's in Arms. "Ask what you can do for your country".. And not what your country can do for you. (JFK).

Heal well my Brother's in Arms, heal well.

" I will take that lost boys hand, and i will lead him from the depths of darkness, into the sunlight, forever into eternity".

Little Pete & big Pete.. But 1 (Irishmoose).

Blood Sings

Click on the play sign on the right. It took me awhile to find it, but this is the only song I can say truly embodies me. To me, it's about needing to be whole again, the way I was as a child. It can also be about this site, finding others who are like me, "a child who had been left alone at birth Left to fend and taught to fight." I pasted the lyrics below.

When blood sees blood
Of its own
It sings to see itself again
It sings to hear the voice it's known
It sings to recognize the face

One body split and passed along the line
From the shoulder to the hip
I know these bones as being mine
And the curving of the lip

And my question to you is:
How did this come to pass?
How did this one life fall so far and fast?

Some are lean and some with grace, and some without;
All tell the story that repeats
Of a child who had been left alone at birth
Left to fend and taught to fight

See his eyes and how they start with light
Getting colder as the pictures go
Did he carry his bad luck upon his back?
That bad luck we've all come to know

And my question to you is:
How did this come to pass?
How did this one life fall so far and fast?

When blood sees blood
Of its own
It sings to see itself again

Loc: in my own world in pittsburgh,...
since i first discovered kate wolf i have always felt this song to be the one that told my story, albeit, in veiled metaphorical language..... youtube does not have a kate version, but nanci revived it back in the 90's with 'other voices, other rooms' cd. here she is singing it with emmy lou harris:

(Kate Wolf)

I've been walkin' in my sleep
Countin' troubles 'stead of countin' sheep
Where the years went I can't say
I just turned around and they've gone away

I've been siftin' through the layers
Of dusty books and faded papers
They tell a story I used to know
And it was one that happened so long ago

Chorus
It's gone away in yesterday
Now I find myself on the mountainside
Where the rivers change direction
Across the Great Divide

Now, I heard the owl a-callin'
Softly as the night was fallin'
With a question and I replied
But he's gone across the borderline

Chorus

The finest hour that I have seen
Is the one that comes between
The edge of night and the break of day
It's when the darkness rolls away

Sit Down - James

I'll sing myself to sleep
A song from the darkest hour
Secrets I can't keep
Inside of the day
Swing from high to deep
Extremes of sweet and sour
Hope that God exists
I hope I pray

Drawn by the undertow
My life is out of control
I believe this wave will bear my weight
So let it flow

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Now I'm relieved to hear
That you've been to some far out places
It's hard to carry on
When you feel all alone
Now I've swung back down again
It's worse than it was before
If I hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me
Love, in fear, in hate, in tears

Down
Down

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Down
