Hey all. I have been away from this site for a long time. My survivor issues are really pretty good. I am married to a wonderful man and we are happy. The problem is he is an active alcoholic. I'm 10 years sober - my husband knows and admits he needs to quit. My problem is I get impatient with him... It is starting to affect his health and I am feeling desperate.... But when I talk to him about it he gets defensive. I need to let him find his own way and quit for himself, but I need someone to talk to about it - any suggestions? Thanks.

Al-Anon has been around sixty years or so and has a wealth of wisdom to support family and friends of alcoholics (and other addicts).

Thanks, Buck. I've checked into al-anon. They have a chat option, but I'm looking for something like MS where I can post a question and get feedback. I will look into some meetings, though.

Take care,
Dan
