I think these are 2 separate problems.

1) When we edit a post, the computer that makes MS run has to chew up and spit out what we've done. This takes a few seconds.

2) For reasons I don't understand, some posts get truncated sometimes and it leaves that tell-tale mark '>'. Sometimes it leaves a 'd...'

I thought it was determined to be a vast conspiracy set-off by the nation of Twambaa? I'm pretty sure that was it. They usually demand chocolate. If you send it to me, I can forward it to their leader.

I don't know whether or not Twambaa is demanding chocolate, but I will certainly accept the deliveries.

To save yourself a lot of pain and aggravation, before submitting the edited post, copy it to your word processor. This will allow you to restore it should it become truncated, and it will save you a lot of frustration and swearing.

Take it from someone who has learned the hard way.





Anomalous

There has been an issue with posts truncated in MS after the update. The solution the moderators have come up with is for the author of the post to edit the original post, then Submit. If the post is still truncated, choose Edit again and click submit. Do not make any changes for the second edit. The post will show all content.
