Thanks for the great post. I really like your fire analogy. I am also a fan of physical challenges, and I find them to be very grounding. I weight train and run 5 days a week. It helps put me in my body, which is something that has been very difficult for me. I am always on the lookout for new hobbies, new challenges, and new healthy outlets to manage my emotions. I do believe that recovery and healing is an active process, one that includes many facets, and it is my aim to engage in recovery and healing in as many ways as possible.
