I joined MS a few days ago after finding out about the site from an article in the Atlanta paper from one of the MS Board Members. He was asked to comment on a story the AJC ran about my abuser. I was led several weeks ago to the Boy Scout perversion files and found my abuser listed. And after not knowing what to do with that information I have now decided to come forward and tell my story publically revealing my name. My hope here is to connect with other men and hear about their journeys as I continue to navigate through mine. I feel I am being called to shed light on this awfulness. Thank you for welcoming me and I look forward to connecting with some of you.

Dear Alan,

Welcome. You are among friends and supporters. This is a place where you can tell your story, share your experiences and feelings, and people will get it.

We all are in different stages of recovery, and you can learn alot just by reading what others have posted. Take your time, and when you feel ready post something about yourself. There is no pressure to tell certain things or anything at all if your not comfortable. You can PM me anytime if you want to talk privately. Good luck.

Jude

Welcome Alan...

I came here for much the same reason....and I am a fellow Georgian. I saw the AJC articles about the Scout files. Athens...Rome....Albany...the files are too thick. I hope you find the help and support you need.
