Here's a story from the UK's Independent that shows that the current chair of the BBC, Chris Patten, is an old political foe of Lord McAlpine, the unnamed monster in the recent BBC report:

That's big news. It means the case is continuing and unfolding. Keep an eye out to see if someone reveals who the other man arrested is. I've noticed the UK police do not release names of arrested people, only ages and locations. But then the press sometimes outs them, so be on the lookout.

OK, I found it. The 61 y/o man was the lodger (partner?) of the 71 y/o former chauffeur. Police took lots of evidence from the house, including at least four computers.
