Yes--in fact, I gave up "relaxation therapy" when I found that the flashbacks ran rampant when I was relaxed. They can hit any time I'm awake in bed.

OTOH, I only recall having one or maybe two actual nightmares about the CSA.

Definitely, not as bad now, but I'm probably a lot further into recovery and dealing with this stuff than most here. It does get better, never gone entirely, but manageable, understandable at least.

You don't need to answer if you don't wanna:

Do you experience body-jumps, or like a super fast convulsing of your limbs or anywhere?

I ask that cuz that happens to me during 1/2 awake flashbacks, and it can go on for freakin hours on-end. Its like I can't get past that threshold between awake and sleep. But it happens just at that moment where I'm falling asleep. Its accompanied by very brief but very vivid flashback that I'm not at all prepared for, or have any tolerance to handle.

Flashbacks are complete pricks about taking advantage of fatigue and fear.

body jumps - is that like you are semi-conscious and then there is the sudden, momentary sensation of falling - and then you sort of spasm or tense up and jerk back awake? i get that but haven't ever heard it mentioned by anyone else before.

I've had exactly this for years. Would drive my wife crazy cause I would literally jump a foot off the bed and scream. You think this is yet another CSA after effect?

(((((LAD))))))))

I don't quite have this issue, but have had nightmares. I realized some time ago that my marijuana smoking was helping keep the nightmares at bay. Then I read somewhere that marijuana can decrease dream activity.

I'm not sure if that is relevant to your issue/situation.

For me, marijuana near bedtime helps me sleep. When I stop smoking pot, the nightmares comes back.

Yes, I get flashbacks both when I am going to sleep, sometimes nightmares, and sometimes when I wake up. And my body reacts to those flashbacks. I have blessed with vivid photographic memory too(not a blessing in this case).
Now that someone mentioned body jerks(jumps), yes I seem to always have had that as a kid(aftermath of CSA maybe) just as you describe. My body jerks can be violent sometimes and drives my wife nuts. I would be hugging her in my sleep or half-sleep and give her the Heimlich. I did go to a sleep doctor and they said I have sleep hypopnea and restless limb syndrome. That may be and my legs do jerk when I am relaxed or over stressed during the day or evening. And I do take meds for the RLS(low dose for those with Parkinson's disease). But now that a lot of you mention this body jerk, I am beginning to wonder if it is something more to it than just RLS.
