The Sandusky story may be closed for him (except for appeals. And,the news media covering him will go on to the next story...But, the saga and the hell is not over for the survivors.It may take them a lifetime for them to heal. May they go forward with courage and tenacity to reclaim what was stolen from them by this horrible man.

I truly like the opening paragraph--and to those victims or should I say survivors--you truly are heroes and we here and everyone else should remember you and continue advocacy and support for all victims. I noticed the judge said you were assaulted and is no cause for embarrassment or for shame--but sadly I and probably many others harbor these emotions--but it was wonderful to hear someone who has not experience such heinous acts speak these words to help the victims move forward.

"And then, addressing the victims directly, Cleland said: "The fact that you were assaulted is no cause for embarrassment or for shame. As children you were the victims of a pedophile. . . . His conduct was no fault of your own. As adults, you have now come forward to hold him accountable. It is for your courage and not for your assault that you will be remembered . . . ."

I just saw this article--how despicable can Sandusky and his wife be--blaming the adopted son and the entire world for his heinous acts. They wrote letters to the court.
