At the risk of maybe ruffling a few feathers, I would like to posit this thought:

I don't take personal offense at the posting. Was the posting directed at you? If it was not directed at you, then it most likely has nothing to do with you at all.

The vast majority of people simply can't comprehend the damage and pain we've had to endure as a result of being a CSA survivor. Hell, it was hard enough for *US SURVIVORS* to comprehend it! I don't fault someone for being ignorant, or not understanding how their brash grand standing comments can be hurtful to those of us that are very sensitive (like us).

It's a much easier way to walk the earth, not taking offense at everything that everyone does for whatever reason. Lord knows, I spent the first 39 years of my life taking offense at every little thing. It's not an easy path to take and makes for a miserable time.

I have to remind myself that the vast majority of the time, other people's behavior or comments have absolutely nothing to do with me or my self worth.

Take what you like of that ...

OH...I know it was not directed at me, but DimeStore Philosophy (now FaceBook Philosophy) permeates this nation of truth and pain and issue-dodgers like cheap perfume.

When faced with someone or a story of someone like us, the simpletons who read, digest and think themselves richly-edified by crap like that FB Post, will re-gergitate crap like that FB post, even if in their own mind.

How many times do you here the TV watcher say out-loud "my God...just get over it" when the latest church victim demands action?

We are standing neck-deep in a "Just get over it" culture. We really are dude!

Stuff like that FB post only reinforces shit-wrong thinking, and for no possible good or gain. What is there possibly to gain by telling people to "cry a river and blah blah blah get over it?" I can see NO possible gain. I would NEVER in a million years feed my kids swill like that. Its unrealistic and damns the injured party if he feels hurt.

Its just my disdain for our culture of numbness is all.

Sorry if I over-react...but I DO over-react...so get over it ;-)

Now I'm gonna go and feel horrible for making stupid and inflamatory remarks that insult you and half of humanity. (I'm LOLing at myself if you can't tell...I don't think I've ever LOLed at myself)
