Here's something that I've been doing, great for any Catholic with dissociative issues:

I'll say a decade of the rosary, vocalizing the first half of the Hail Mary with my eyes open; and then for the 2nd half, I close my eyes and just think the words without moving my mouth.

Alternating this way through a whole decade or even the whole rosary helps unify my inner and outer selves.

I did something as a young man which might be somewhat comparable. I was not a Catholic so I didn't have rosary. But I memorized long stretches of Bible passages. Romans 5,6, and 8. As a child I had already memorized Psalms 23 and 100. I memorized about 100 other Bible verses from something called the Topical Memory System. I had to force my selves to do this together so it was unifying. Different selves all had to participate. Therefore it was very unifying. I didn't understand the depth to which this was beneficial for many years.

Thanks, Puffer.

That makes a lot of sense. We have to learn to work together.
