Just looking for some tips in regards to how to edit or run my profile.

1. Not long after I joined MS the page for forums and every page after I logged in has sort of been zoomed out quite a bit to where all the text is quite small, so it makes it hard to read anything and in turn navigate.

2. When I signed up I wasn't sure what the difference was between a username and a display name. Now I would like to edit my profile o that what is visible to others is what I choose as my username. How might I go about doing that? There doesn't seem to be an avenue for doing that through edit profile or edit preferences.

I'm not sure if I understood your second problem correctly, but if you need to change your username-davesch you'll need to contact administrator - FormerTexan...

Are you having this problem with any other site you visit?

If so, go to "View" and click on "Zoom."

Check to see if your browser is set to "zoom out." Firefox also has a feature to "Zoom Text Only," though I do not know if IE has that. Click on "Reset."

If the problem is only happening on this site, close your browser and delete all cookies. Also clear the browsing history. If your firewall also has a cache, clear that, too.

Then reopen your browser and come back to this site to see if that has cleared the problem.

Also run a virus scan as well as scans for malware (Spybot, Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, Adaware, etc.)


If your system is clean and none of the above has helped, please provide the following information:

The screen resolution you are using (can be found under video properties; may also be found by right-clicking on your desktop and going to properties and looking under "settings").

Your Operating System (ie. XP (Pro, with teh service pack #), Linux, etc.

The browser you are using (Firefox, IE, Opera, etc.) AND teh version number.

Any recent add-ons to your browser.

The firewall program you are using.

Any and all recent software added to the system.
