As a confirmed political junkie I am enjoying reading a biography on Joseph Stalin. What I appreciate about this one is that it isn't lost on the author that the abusive childhood Stalin suffered had a major impact on his subsequent personality, which as the world knows proved to be injurious to millions. In no way am I saying that everyone who experienced abuse grows up to be a monster but I think its safe to argue that severe emotional injury in childhood left unattended can bring that out in some people.
Love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.
