Sometimes adults know more than we do/did. The thing is...there's nothing really "surprising here."

"Hey Doctor! Is it in my brain?"

"Yes, but that won't matter one bit."

You realize of course that someone was laughing there ares-off inside...thus the picture. What a picture for the wedding party in 15 years!

So my son (13yo and AKA "Boo") recounted the following boy-discovery today when I dropped his computer-off at his mother's house:

"Hey Dad...you remember that beach caddy you had for one of your sailboats? Well, Bill, john, Tom, Mike and I were looking at it wondering what to do with it. (Oh God...that's a great premise) So...we realized it had no steering of its own, so we attached....you know that old Radio Flyer?....we attached that wagon to the front so that there would be steering...(Oh God...is there a law-suit in this)...We had to secure it all with rope and some lag-bolts...We took it up to the top of Bus-Stop-Hill and Mike and John got on to take the first ride (Oh God! BusStopHill is fkg HUGE). So they start-out going way too fast....course there are no brakes, so John is steering and carving all left & right-like to slow them down, when suddenly the front-wheels kinda go perpendicular to the direction of travel and...God! The thing flipped SO many times and threw them SO SO far! You shoulda seen it (I actually wish I had)!! Oh!!!! They got destroyed...like royally thrown!!!

So we were all laughing our asses off and ran-down there so the rest of us could try, but it was too broken-up. Bill wanted to keep the thing going, so I ran home and got the moped and a rope to tow it to Bill's house (that's like miles away......Oh my God). So I'm towing it with some of them on the back and some one their bikes...but a bolt was sticking-down onto the pavement and was throwing this total;y huge rooster-tail of sparks. We thought the woods were gonna start on fire! Man that was fun!"

So Boo...."yeah?" Wuddya learn from all that? "Absolutely nothing."

Fully true story from today, but plz don't call CPS quite yet

867. Mixing all the chemistry set chemicals in one test tube and shaking it results in a powerful explosion which leaves the bathroom painted blue, and mom very upset.

868. Mom and dad are human and there's scary stuff there.

869. Run away from older men who try to get close to me.

870. Computer games are very addictive, but they're also very fun, and parents have no power in there!!!

871. Playing the piano is a great way to release pent up emotions!

872. Hiding from scary kids at school does not fix the scary.

873. Being attracted to other boys is fun, but don't tell anyone because everyone acts really weird about it.

874. Fun things can happen with my friends in their basement.

875. Scary things can happen with my dad in my basement.

876. Woman teachers that chase me and try to kiss me because they held a mistletoe above my head, really creeps me out.

877. My body feels very unsafe. But I don't know how to say it. And I don't really feel it. I'm mostly just running from it.

878. Wearing cool jeans and trying to get close to cool kids never seems to work.

879. Science fairs are places to get great appreciation and pats on the back.

880. Computer programming is so safe and easy I can do it for a living!

881. A sister can't always be protected, no matter how much I love her. But everyone seems to be blaming me, so I fall in line.

I started reading from number 1.
If your kid knows what a VCR is ( #43-44) he is already 21 years old. He must then grow up and stop putting butter in it, because nobody cares anymore as you can't get a VHS or BETA tape anymore

when you're little and afraid to go downstairs to the bathroom to pee in the middle of the night ... you can just pee over the big trunk on the floor in your closet .... who'll know ?
it works great !
at least for a little while ...

Santa doesn't know what you really want for Christmas.

He only knows what your parents think you should want and should get.
