Child Psychiatrist Arrested for Molesting Patients

San Mateo, California child psychiatrist Dr. William Ayres was arrested last year for molesting youg male patients sent to him for therapy. Here's a story from ABC News. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=3016136 Since the arrest,dozens of victims have come forward. Trial is set for the end of June. The San Mateo Police department is encouraging new victims to come forward. Anyone with information should contact Detective Rick Decker: 650-522-7654

Note that Dr. Ayres was president of the biggest organization for child psychiatrists in the country, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Pscychiatry. He was also the designated sex abuse evaluator for the San Mateo Courts for many years.
His earliest known victim is from 1966 !

Evil me coming out here a bit... I think a long walk, a short pier, and some cement boots are in order.....
Yes, that's definitely evil me. But how much evil has this guy wrought, on how many different people? The courts are concerned about his "failing health"???? I'm sorry, I feel no pity for guys like this.

There are at least 41 victims who have gone to the police. I personally know of others who have not yet come forward out of fear and shame. The police believe there are hundreds more out there who have yet to break their silence.

Good point DB. I have never been an aggressive person, and I have never been a violent person. But since digging into my past, the amount or anger and hatred flowing out of heart not only amazes me, but frightens me at the same time.  It saddens me too, because it's really not the kind of person I want to be. I hope with healing these things can go away.
