September 11, 2001 was a day that destroyed the lives of thousands, and terrified millions more. Out of that destruction and chaos came the ability, the desire and the urgency to volunteer. Volunteerism symbolizes the extreme opposite of destruction, it demands the volunteer to go well beyond themselves, to offer themselves above their own concerns.

Be inspired here... http://www.serve.gov/sept11.asp then come back and find your volunteering here in MS. http://www.malesurvivor.org/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=391201#Post391201
This is a post that outlines volunteering here in MS. It is in the member's section, and so I urge you, if you are unable to view it, to consider your first act of volunteering to contribute to MaleSurvivor. It is a two fold return, one that you are reaching out to survivors and supporters, and that you gain the insight and connection granted to those who want to invest in MaleSurvivor.

If you are unable to view the post, please PM me and I will copy and PM it to you.

I hope that you consider the benefits of volunteering for MaleSurvivor,

Sam

It is a wonderful message--so many are caught up in their own world. There are many who do one thing and everyone must know-or expect recognition for deeds to help others or acts to help friends or family but the true heroes are those that help others and do not utter a word--they do it for the right reason. We need more of these heroes.
