A new chapter. I hesitated writing this in light of recent events.

Wow!

That's something like an image from a book that helped me. A movie made from it also helped. They helped my wife understand something of what I went through.

This is a note from Puffer. I didn't mean to take away from iamnotbubba's post and his blog.

I also thought I should add a note of clarification for what I posted about Trapped in Silence. The book and movie were based on a true story written by Torey Hayden. It is my understanding that she was the actual counselor involved in this story. The story it was based on was not exactly my story, although there were several common themes. I was silent for over 3 years in junior high and high school. I was helped by a female counselor. My silence was from severe abuse. The abuse was compounded from several sources, but mainly not from my own family. (see Pufferfish story parts 4 and 5). I was a very depressed teen. I did not make a knife and I did not assault my therapist. Torey Hayden has written a bunch of excellent books about abused children. They are very helpful in helping the non-abused public to understand what happens.

I feel like Oliver Twist:
"Please sir, I want some more!"
I was on the edge of my seat. Awesome writing of an incredibly difficult event to communicate. I was living it with you and my heart is still pounding like mad.

glad you made it through,
Lee

Thanks for posting. I am finding your blog interesting and helpful, as you suggested I would.

I'm glad to know you and look forward to reading more from your world. Whether or not you can always see it - you are definitely reaching others. Myself included.

Thanx!
