Hi All,

I am compiling a list of resources and I hope you will be willing to help with this endeavor.

Specifically, I am looking for information about books written for the significant others of males who have been sexually abused/ assaulted.

If you would be willing, I would like the following information:

Name of book

Author(s)

Did you find the book informative? (Yes / No)

Regarding the abuse(s) / assault(s) / rape9s) discussed, did it/ they take place during childhood, adulthood, both, or not specified?

Was the book well written? (Was the information presented in an orderly, logical and coherent manner?)

Would you recommend this book? (Yes / No)

Please also provide any comments, positive or negative, you had about the book(s).

Many thanx,

Anomalous

When a man you love was abused by Cecil M
urphey

The book was most helpful as a basic primer on CSA. It's easy to read and very well organized. It has a section for how wives can help in the healing process. This is where it has potential weak spots. If your husband does not/has not acted out, they are easier to implement. None of the recommendations seem to take into consideration the needs of the wife in general and a traumatized wife may find it even more difficult.

I recommend the book with the examples above as the caveat.
