Interesting take on the athletic culture.

Interesting take on culture of power and hierarchy (like in corporate environment) where single human is easily mowed out of system if he is troublemaker...
This sentence is phenomenon for me to understand:
"It’s possible anywhere a coach becomes bigger than the university that employs him, anywhere that a dissenting voice — or, in her case, a voice of reason — is shouted down and eventually ostracized to protect an athletic team."
This shout down of voice of reason is indicator that shows huge imbalance in cultural values-this mechanism is already somehow systematically incorporated in overall society at all levels. Prove for that are more 10.0000 survivors here and fact about 1 in 6.
