The Hawk
Red tail hawk in my willow tree
a nest of them
family of hawks

so free they are
soaring above the land so high and free
absolute soars and divers
masterful landings set upon my willow tree

sits and stares in my window
upon greeting he moved his head side to side
big eyes bold and bright
wings stretch a great span indeed

won't come to me just yet
just sits and stares and watches
flew on chair next to me
flew back to tree and just sat there

to be free and wild as one as you my dear friends
such beauty and grace
my family of hawks
the hawks of my willow tree
