There is very little help in my area for MS, I am think about starting a support group or even going around to church's community centers to see if they are willing to let me talk about how often this happens and to let other MS know there is help online, week end of recovery and most important to let them know they are not alone. Has anyone done this? Thoughts?

Hello Happy Days,

Advocacy is another level of discovery and awareness. Starting a support group is difficult in person. Your message is actually two fold, a support group and public speaking. Consider finding support groups for disorders in your area, attending and speaking at these for a support group you want to start.

Be aware that support groups can be slow starting, and fraught with issues. They are also wonderfully supportive and validating.

I wish you well HD,
Sam
