Will Lynch - on trial for assaulting priest who raped him when he was seven- testifies about the abuse yesterday. Graphic testimony: http://losgatos.patch.com/articles/william-lynchLynch is a hero. The DA wanted him to enter into a plea deal but he refused. He wanted the chance to face his abuser in the courtroom. By being able to tell his own story to a jury, Lynch says he has gained peace and strength. I hope the publicity will encourage other victims of Lindner to come forward. I am hoping that some are within the statute of limitations for a criminal case

I am grappling with confronting my abuser. Thoughts run through my head in my dreams but I never get closer than sitting in my car outside his home. But my T warns if I go, do not go alone. The emotions may be high and distraughtful as to create a dissociative state and what happens could put me at risk. I understand Will's feelings, the bastard robs and destroys lives. Maybe peace only comes after confronting and destroying the perps life. I do not know. But Will is a brave man and is willing to accept the consequences to confront the perp face to face in public. I hope Will finds peace a healing from this, I do not know what I would do face to face. Knowing where the bastard lives eats at me each day. i understand and feel Will's need for what he did. I do not think I could do what he has done. Hope others come forward and takes Lindner down.

Since I found him I am confused as what to do. I want to control what happens. So many unanswered questions-why, why me-,pain, hurts, lost time that I need to know details what happened, I know he is elderly, is he frail, sick-if yes would confronting him be like he abused me? I sometimes think I would have been better off if I did not find him.

I am happy for him-I hope Will Lynch has some sense of closure--it shows the abuser do not always win. Hopefully Lindner is ostracized and feels pain for what he did to those boys so many years ago. And a big hooray for his supporters who stood by him--they are heroes because so many denounce the victim. Will Lynch deserves to have his life back.

The prosecutor is considering whether to retry on the misdemeanors. Both parties shocked when jury, on its own, asked for definition of jury nullification. I would say this is the personification of unjust application of the law. This is where a defendant may be technically guilty but it would be unjust to convict them. Probably should put this in the textbook as the prime example.
Charged with felony assault for given him a black eye. If he was arrested, they should ask him to plead to time serve and let him go.
