So, gonna do my best to hound the shit out of politicians and doctors who don't give a shit. It's utterly ridiculous. My 2nd rejection. On to court in 12-15 months if I live that long.

Sorry, man! i've heard it is practically impossible without a lawyer. Can you find one who will do it pro bono? Lee

Honestly, I don't think I have that long. Lawyers get 25% at settlement so that's how they get paid. A lot of people die waiting for disability court to even happen. Because of the damage to my body from all this (I'm at least 1.5 years past when the thyroid should've gotten removed), it can take six months to a year to recover just for the body. I should be in physical therapy now for the CHF. Got to go to the doc tonight because I'm quitting smoking (program next week starts and need clearance) and I think it may have affected my prostate. Don't know.

Hang in there, phoenix. I know it's hard to do - I'm in a pretty desperate place myself. I applied for disability in March 2011. I'm still waiting for a court date, but hopefully it will be soon.
I have so many things wrong with me but I kept getting turned down. I even wrote the president, my senators and congressman, etc. I didn't get shit. I'm in pretty dire straits as well - while I'm not at death's door or anything my financial situation is pretty bad. In a few months I'll be in trouble so I'm keeping fingers crossed that this gets resolved soon.
Please hang on. So will I. 80sboy, I hope you get it soon. I'm looking at no help for a minimum of 16 months. It really has nothing to do with hanging on. The thyroid breaks down the body eventually killing a person. Already affected the heart. Borderline cardiomyopathy.

All of this is freakin horrid!
A move to Massachusetts for any of ya'll might be good. Public healthcare there is excellent and free for those in need. No money to move or live there. Totally broke. Great idea for folks that can move and have jobs or a nice retirement. Thanks.
