Hi Rival,

Welcome to MS.

You are here among those who undestand, and you are no longer alone.

I am happy you have found this place of healing and support.

If you do not yet have a therapist I would strongly suggest getting one if you circumstances allow for it. Here is the Consumer's Guide to Finding a Therapist. It gives you a list of questions to ask a potential therapist. You want a therapist who is trained in trauma and/ or sexual abuse.

Explore all this site has to offer. We have a chat room (the lounge) for real-time support or if you just want to commiserate. We also have Healing Circles, which are moderated chats. The Healing Circles meet on Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 9pm eastern time (US) or Tuesdays at 19:00 UTC (European/ African time).

Again, welcome to MS.

Acceptance on someone else's terms is worse than rejection.

Hi Rival and welcome to MS.
I'm sorry that you nee to be here, obviously you have some issue as we all have. Please don't be to hard on yourself, we all have some temptations and are feeling sometimes trapped with bad habits.
Share with as much as possible, try to learn what resources are offered here and look for way that suites you the best how to connect to brothers here. I've benefited greatly as I become part of community here.
Healing is possible!

Hi Rival

Welcome to the site. At least you are amongst brothers here that understand.

Sorry that you needed to do that man, to mess up 8 months of sobriety, I know its tough, but don't see it as a failure rather as a learning experience.
Take the reason why you felt the need to drink and look at it and take steps to deal with it. Knowing what triggers you is Important.

Don't give up, this is a setback not a failure.
