The truth is that there are many truths and that each individual here has their own truth. Each person can only speak to their own and support others in their truths.
After I was kidnapped as an adult I did not disclose the sexual assaults part of that night to others. I recall being asked by some older people if "they were black". I was take back by that assumption. Assumptions are very dangerous things in this life and especially with sexual abuse/assaults.
My own story is that nothing made me gay and that I recall being attracted to boys in grade school. Yes, I firmly believe that I, and only speaking for myself, was born this way. And damn proud of it.
