Hi everyone, i am new to this. I am not sure what to say other than i am a survivor of child sexual abuse. I am 32 years old and was abused for 9 years. I just found out about this website from my therapist today. I am thankful to have a place to come to where others feel the same way. I am also thankful that everyone in here truly gets what its like, and i know longer have to feel alone.

Hi Jethro,

Welcome to MS. I am happy you found us, but sorry for the reason you need to be here.

As you have already stated, you are among those who "get it."

You are no longer alone.

In addition to the forums and the chat room, we have moderated chats called Healing Circles on Sunday and Wednesday evenings, 9pm eastern time. There is also a healing circle on Tuesdays, 19:00 UTC. Contact Mike13 for information about that (and for the translation to US time).

Though it may be comforting in a strange sense to find one is no longer alone, I suggest pacing yourself while you read the posts here. There is a lot of pain and you do not want to vicariously or secondarily traumatize yourself.

Again, welcome to MS.

Welcome to MS Jethro smile !
explore this site slowly and get to know about resources which are offered for us.
Share you thoughts, problems and ask questions - that is a good way for connecting with others.
Here is link for new men here, read it if you wish: http://www.malesurvivor.org/docs/FirstStepstoGetHelp.doc
That chat session Healing circle is something worth checking, I've found it as some kind of group therapy that I unfortunately don't have here; regularly attending there greatly contributes to my therapy...
Feel at home and welcome again!
Pero
