Pluckmemory--glad you are here and an advocate for the victims.It seems there are so few, more people who put on their rose colored glasses and make victims the victims once again. I can only image how the victims feel when they see the Kelly supporters cheering and crying for the abuser--if it was my abuser I would be sick to death of the hypocrisy of the institutions and people. Keep up the great work.

By the way: John Manly, the lawyer for the Kelly victim appeared in the Academy Award nominated documentary "Deliver Us From Evil" about another pedophile Stockton priest named Oliver O'Grady. Apparently, O'Grady and Kelly were friends.

I am friends with the wife of of a likely Kelly victim. The likely victim died recently. I see how the abuse has affected and continues to affect the likely victim's children.

A Catholic priest recently found liable for sexually assaulting an altar boy by a civil jury had been sent to a behavioral health center to be evaluated on his sexual deposition several years before the alleged rape occurred.

The former priest of St. Joachim Church in Lockeford, Michael Kelly, showed pedophilic traits in a psychological evaluation ordered by the Diocese of Stockton, but the test results were inconclusive, said John Manly, who is representing the former altar boy.

STOCKTON, CA - A Diocese of Stockton priest recently convicted of three counts of child molestation and under investigation for an alleged similar crime has gone back to Ireland.

Father Michael Kelly, who served at St. Joachim's Catholic Church in Lockeford, was convicted April 13 in a civil trial of molesting a former altar boy at the Cathedral of the Annunciation in Stockton in the mid-1980s.

With the conviction, Kelly, who had continued to serve at St. Joachim Catholic Parish in Lockeford, was removed from his duties by Stockton Bishop Stephen E. Blaire.

In a separate case, Kelly has been under a criminal investigation since last September on allegations he molested an altar boy at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in San Andreas in the early 2000s.

The Irish Examiner reports Oliver O’Grady admitted to three counts of possession of child porn after leaving his computer on a flight from Amsterdam in December of 2010.

The 66-year-old was the subject of an award-winning 2006 documentary, “Deliver Us from Evil,” in which he talked openly of abusing more than 20 children as he was shuffled from one parish to another in California through the 1970s and 80s.
