New story on continuing criminal investigation into defrocked Stockton priest Michael Kelly: " New Allegations Surface Against Defrocked Priest"http://www.calaverasenterprise.com/news/article_75df0cb6-cab2-11e1-87fe-001a4bcf887a.htmlFormer San Andreas priest Michael Kelly faces renewed sex abuse allegations this week after Stockton attorney John Manly confirmed he will press ahead with litigation on behalf of several new clients. An untold number of accusers have come forward to police and attorneys across three counties after a civil trial against Kelly ended in a $3.75 million verdict last April.____ We understand that an anonymous Kelly victim has contacted SNAP in recent weeks. We encourage him and ALL victims of Michael Kelly to contact the following: - Attorney John Manly: 949-252-9990
- Sgt Chris Hewitt at the Calaveras County, CA Sheriff's office: 209-754-6500

This part of the story is EXTREMELY disturbing. Despite numerous victims having come forward, some of Kelly's parishioners have grouped together to provide funds that aided him in his flight to Ireland before the end of the civil trial in April:
Both [Sgt] Hewitt and Manly referred to lag time in the investigation of Kelly cases. Each also suggested that Friends of Father Kelly, an advocacy group that helped fund Kelly’s flight to Ireland, was freighting an already lengthy legal process. “(Investigations) is way backed-up. (Investigator Wade Whitney) is dealing with an officer-involved shooting while still trying to track down alleged Kelly victims and witnesses,” Hewitt said. “Friends of Father Kelly is just piling-on, emailing him, sending him letters, just hindering his investigation.”

Now how ignorant can people be? It is truly disturbing, but I have experienced worse reactions to abuse from supposedly educated people. It is like the blind leading the blind-learned behaviors. My heart goes out for the victims and their families. Why did the police lag so long?

Four days ago, a man came forward to say that the former priest Michael Kelly groped him multiple times when he was 11 years old, in 1983, as an an altar boy at St.Bernard's School, in Tracy California. The man said that there were rumblins that Kelly was asked to leave St. Bernard's because of incidents with boys.
Kelly is still hiding out in Ireland somewhere. Meanwhile the Sheriff's office in Calaveras County continue to interview new Kelly victims who have come forward.
If anyone who is reading this was molested by Father Michael Kelly, please contact attorney John Manly in Newport Beach, CA: 949-252-9990
or Sgt. Chris Hewitt at the Calaveras County Sheriff's office in California:
209-754-6500.
Michael Kelly worked at Fatima Church in Modesto; St. Bernard's in Tracy; the Annunciation School and Presentation School in Stockton, California; St. Andrew's Church in San Andreas, CA and St. Patrick's in Sonora, Ca.
Kelly also started the Modesto Soccer League for boys and acted as a referee.
Let's nail this guy and get him criminally prosecuted.

There's a lunatic fringe of Kelly supporters who call themselves "The Friends of Father Kelly" who have been trying to interfere with the criminal investigation into Kelly, according to the Calaveras Sheriff's office. They have also gone after civil attorney John Manly, who represents the three victims who have filed suits against Kelly: http://www.modbee.com/2012/11/10/2451062/rev-michael-kelly-rejects-3rd.htmlIf anyone who is reading this was molested by Father Michael Kelly, please contact attorney John Manly in Newport Beach, CA: 949-252-9990
or Sgt. Chris Hewitt at the Calaveras County Sheriff's office in California:

SNAP in northern California has stated that they have been contacted by several victims of Kelly, but that these victims have not yet gone to the police. They need to do so immediately.
