hi guys,
I just wanted to say hello. I need to start addressing this, I am 44. I was sexually abused by my sisters, and spousidified by by my mother. It has been a tough road. I know why I didn't address this before with consistent therapy for a support group, because it is counter intuitive to have to walk into this dimension. It doesn't feel safe, but I know it is necessary. It is also necessary to embrace my gay identity, which has been difficult.
thanks

Hey spw

Welcome to MaleSurvivor and the start of healing the damage and reclaiming yourself. My mother was emotionally incestuous as well-and I have fought to reject that energy and abuse as well as the outright abuse.

THis is a place to build, strengthen and heal-make use Use of ALL the pages on this site and the articles and books mentioned here and elsewhere. Get your bearings and find safe support that feels right.

I'm glad u r here!

It will be especially fruitful here, being that this is the Gay/Bi/Trans Survivor forum. Seriously, though - don't forget to also introduce yourself in the Introductions forum smile . While the issues can be tinted differently for those who identify as gay or straight, the general MS community - by and large - is a very open and sharing one. At least I have found that to be true for me.

MS is a wonderful place with some amazing people. Welcome and continue to share.
