When an regime’s self-reflection
Mirrors a distortion of blissful flawlessness
Affording authorities vistas of magnified laurels invented
So they may gleefully prance to a selfish tone - its own majestic spectacle
That habitually steers the King to deem, he no longer needs his bothersome citizenry

An anarchist is definitely not within my personality but I can see how one might read that into this poem. No, there’s a history to this poem that some here may recognize and then the meaning and its messaging might become clear, though I doubt it will change the stubbornly viewed, falsified illusion that this self-refection is just too beautiful to be willing to see “the king has no clothes and must make some changes to his wardrobe.

As long as the king stubbornly refuses
To hear the voices of a few of his citizenry
Who dare to be honest about the lack of proper wear
