I got chills reading that, I was completely taken by the lines. Man, that was powerful, thank you for sharing, and for telling your story for an example. We need isolation at times, we need medication at times, we need to ask forgiveness from our wives and children at times, and we definitely need to heal.

Thank you,
Sam

Thank you! Thank you! Your feedback encourages me to write more.

Life's A Dream,

"What kind of meds, out of curiosity?"

The medication I was abusing is what a man does by himself in an effort to reach orgasm.

Good website design. Rare to see the see-through design work that well. Whome/Martin should check it out.

Rage, anger and sexual compulsion are all tied together for me too (as well as others). There is a book titled "Lust, Anger, Love" and here is a blurb from Amazon:

"Canning shows how compulsions are the product of early childhood abuse and how patterns, from the most violent to the most commonplace, develop. She explains that the overriding emotion sexually addicted people feel towards the partners with whom they seek intimacy is anger turned into sexuality, or "sexualized anger." This yields a false sense of security and power, an "aggressive tendency," which destroys any chance of a healthy relationship. Lust, Anger, Love offers a comprehensive and enlightening look at the origins of these little discussed behaviors and maps out a plan for recovery."

I'm not advocating this book - just using it to make a point that anger and sexuality can be intertwined and it has been noticed by professionals in the field of sex addiction.

I doing a lot of work in this area of my life around my "medication" and letting go of it is bringing up real anger and aggression but by writing about it and talking about it, I am finally seeing what is underneath.

I so identified with wanting to keep that rageful person from taking over.
