Sounds like you did the right thing. Reporting the threats, then reporting his actions and then leaving to be safe.

Do you have a lease with him? Might have legal recourse etc if you do. Aside from just the assault that is.

You definately got the shitty end of the stick.

Have you talked to a Social Worker? They could probably help you get a place to live. Under your circumstances, they may be able to get you emergency care: i.e. food and shelter.

You could also check out homeless shelters. From what I was told by a worker up here in Canada, most, if not all, are staffed 24/7 which may help you as the staff will know what is happening.

You may even be able to have your local utility get times of text message and maybe even what was sent in the message and prosecute the SOB yourself.

The best of luck with everything. Keep fighting through and remember that all detours will eventually get you back on the main road even if it's not as quick as we would like it.
