Larry, you are on it! This is like a full time job for you. You offer strong support to anyone who posts messages in this forum. There's probably very few posts that you haven't responded to and that is amazing. You are greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

His blushometer must be blowing gaskets right now.
I dont know how he does it and keeps his head straight, because mostly I type answers to someone then think WTF do I know!

I hope to meet Larry one day soon, maybe if I can find a car or something, he only lives like 130 smiles from me :p

In a place full of spotty students and posh colleges full of nerds.

Hey people,

Hmmmm. Usually I have a pretty good idea what I want to say in response to a post, but this time you've floored me.

I can't tell you how moved and humbled I am. Thanks so much for your comments here, but especially thanks to everyone for making this place such an amazing community of fellowship and healing.

A lot of you weren't around in May 2005 when I showed up here as a scared and very shy survivor with devastating self-esteem problems and unable to talk because I still thought - like I did when I was a boy - that no one would believe me.

That night after the first time I came here and saw I wasn't alone, I bet I cried for an hour. So many guys (I can't begin to name them all) helped me back then, and yeah, they still pick me up from time to time. Whatever progress I have made in the past 18 months owes so much to them and I will always be grateful. I feel like all I'm really doing now is "paying it forward".

It's not down to one person of course, and I have to say that whatever I do here is encouraged and guided by the wonderful people we have behind the scenes working in admin and as mods. Believe me, it isn't easy, and you just wouldn't imagine the time that MS takes out of their own busy lives. They're the ones who deserve the credit for creating the framework for what we are all able to do here together.

Thanks again, and God bless us all.

Much love,
Larry

PS: I really got a kick out of the (ahem) "pics" of me posted here. All true of course.

But if you want the real thing, join as a member and boogie on over to the members' side. There are pics of lots of us there in the images forum, though, truth be told, none of these other geezers is as gorgeous as me.

Much modesty,
Larry

OK now, Larry.... I draw the line at lying. I'm about to take back all the good things I've said about you.

Everyone on the members side knows that I outshine you all by at least twice over when it comes to being gorgeous!

So stop it already! Jeez!

Hope you dont mind if I grab some text from the big picture topic.

"When it is all said and done we have the opportunity to do great things and we are all capable. Great things, in my mind, does not line up with societies belief of achievment. I have read multiple post here where guys have helped others while they relentlessly work on their abuse issues. It is amazing that we have the capacity to find the strength to come out of our anger, feelings of helplessness, depression and anxiety and still find the time and energy to help others. This site is evidence of that helping spirit. Daily, guys like Larry and many others answer questions, they take the time out of their day and night to help others with nothing expected in return. That is something you don't find every day, atleast I don't see it very often in the real world. Most people are looking out for themselves, not others.

We should be proud of ourselves, I know I am proud of all of us."

Your great Larry, we love you.

Yes I would also like to add my thanks to Larry. I remember when he showed up here. Like he said a real mess. Like most of us. He has given of himself from that first day. Shown love, respect, and let that golden heart of his shine like a beacon for all to see. So Thanks Larry.

For me personaly: Thank you for "hearing" me in times of trouble. Not everyone has that ability to really hear instead of just pretending to liston. Cause sometimes thats all it takes, just to know you were heard.

Thanks again
James
