I agree. This story "shows" how important it is to change the statue of limitations for laws for past crimes.

It is a miracle that the DA's office put the police officer away. So many DA's protect police officers, no matter what the wrongdoing.

The nightmare is not "over" it will come back again and again.
Yeah, the creepy cop is locked up...but that doesn't make it all better.

A COP who's a CHILD MOLESTER in prison? Methinks this perp is in for a rough time, too.

I was struck how the county prosecutor stated how there are no winners in this case of a boy abused. The damage to public trust, not to mention the some 17 (... At. Least.) victims is huge.

I thought the "nightmare" he was referring to was the legal process he got caught up in. Not the abuse aftermath, though, I'm sure a lot of people assume everything fine now...

Where's the civil case? Is there some law you can't sue municipalities for this?

Rough time in prison?? Nah, I have a few friends who work in a fed prison, and they said it's sick because these guys get their own Area, own workout area, own everything and they said most of the time they sit around getting off by sharing stories. They both said it makes them so sick when it's their turn to work that area.

They should be put in with everyone else, but there's plenty of lawyers willing to get them special treatment.
