I don't have a type. I'm attracted to individuals and then secondarily attracted if we have common hobbies and interests (like gaming). In fact, I would say that I can't pinpoint what attracts me to certain people, but I know that if we like completely different things then I would not pursue a relationship. I love that my hubby and I play the same games, listen to the same music, and work in the same field. It gives us lots of stuff to talk about and nerdrage over. ;D

I don't know what boyish charm is, to be honest, so I looked it up. It doesn't sound like something that would attract me.

Could it be that some women are looking (unconsciously) for abused men? The boyish part is due to them having been abused.

On the other side of the coin, I think some men look for abused women.

i suspect abused women and men find each other.turns out, my friend claims agirl he was dating was abused, but boyish charm is different than having young alters.

Do men who were abused as children lose their charm as adults?

I know that some abused kids lose their charm as adults. Their behavior becomes obtuse.

I'd say it could go either way. In my survivor support group for example there are people like myself who act as if we were born adults. Then there are men my age who really need to grow up already. On the matter of charm I believe one can possess it and still be mature. I don't think charm and maturity need to be mutually exclusive.

And some abused kids lose our charm as kids, grow up withdrawn and stay that way for decades.
