This board is irreplaceable. We, as supporters, come here to vent, to commiserate, to do pulse checks on each other - and most of all to interact with survivors who can tell us how things are.

But maybe we need an "SCS" outlet? A place to celebrate the successes of the men that we love and support. Not only does it help us to focus on the positive during trying times, but it also can provide some insight for survivors into how important the little victories are for the people who love them.

Here's a go....

My husband, for the first time last night, talked to me calmly about his state of mind when he started the affair that he had. In only 3 sentences, he was able to put many of my fears to rest and give me hope in our future.

My husband upped the number of therapy sessions he takes and scheduled them without me nagging.

Great idea!

My husband is starting to talk about what happened to him more and is getting ready to start reading a book as soon as it gets delivered.

His recent success was sharing wth me when he was triggered.

My success today is focussin on the positve, living n a day of gratitude.

Maybe we should start a thread on what we appreciate about our spouses too.

How about I take the initiative...

HE WAS AWESOME IN THERAPY TONIGHT! We had an amazing session in which we talked about how the abuse creates low self esteem and the toll this takes on relationships. Our therapist is amazing and my husband is smart and open to listening to the doctor's ideas.

He has succeeded every day for the 3 years I've known him, to stay off alcohol!

Good job!

He worked through feelings of betrayal and being unfairly attacked in a (now former) business relationship with no self-harm and in less than 48 hours!

AWESOME!

My partner never misses his therapy, he is serious about his commitment to getting healthy and has been a great provider for me!

Also he makes me laugh

I was feeling scared this morning and he got defensive, then angry and then ran. But 10 minutes later, he did something he never has done before, he came back Bravo.

My husband prays the Rosary every day and prays a special intention to Mary for healing my hurt, every morning and night.

And has kept his therapy promise for 99 days!
