I have a meeting scheduled for 8 December with the Senior Advisor to the Minister for Mental Health. I already have several items I want to discuss such as problems caused by CSA, how these problems cause increases in health needs and costs, needs of survivors and items for care-givers to look out for that may indicate CSA.

Anybody with other ideas would be appreciated

Thanks.

You might want to check out Richard Gartner's website and read some of the articles he has written. He is pretty amazing:

I wish you all the best in your meeting!

Hi Sailor John

Don't forget the impact that the survivor has on his family, the dysfunction that will eventually lead to the drug addictions and alcoholism etc in the children. I have heard enough stories in the rooms where children tell of their parent being an alcoholic, and they too became one.
It wont happen in all families but the potential is that the cycle will continue if the survivor goes untreated.

Good luck and I hope that you make an impact.

Martin
