Maybe now some more people will understand "accountability."
Another open letter to my town:
By now, every rational mind has clearly seen the parallels between at least two enabling and silent organizational cultures and major crimes against children. The Penn State parallel is actually illustrative of the defensive fortification nearly any self-centered organization will choose in times of panic.
Lions Club International (LCI) has failed to even acknowledge that their chapter president has ever been placed in a high-risk situation in their name. Their chapter president was actively offending and actively skirting safety measures installed by public policy and public safety.
Our town has never heard an apology or even an explanation for LCI placing Gary Britton (C*****r Lions Club Pres) in a position where our children were at real risk. His regular and active presence at the C*****r Town Fair is an abomination and affront to all decent people of the town. He defied public safety, public policy and law enforcement as if it were a joke. At the same time, he possessed an enormous cache of child pornography that should land him in prison for an eternity.
LCI leadership universally fails to understand that their willful actions caused defacto enabling of a repeat sex offender at the risk to C****r children. Furthermore, they have become hostile in their replies for discussion of same. Therefore, I have requested agenda time with the C***r Board of Selectmen, wherein I plan to initiate discussion and possible action toward banning LCI from participating in any Town of C*****r activity.
Any organization whom fails to see or even acknowledge the safety of our children ought never realize any privilege or trust within our town!
Please send an email expressing your position to our Board Of Selectmen at submit@c***nh.org
