I'm here ...usually multiple times daily, but the lack of others here is reason for my silence. Seems like nobody is here, and those of us who are, seem invisible ...

Glad to see some activity here, l just posted that l feel this whole site is the wrong place for me. I definitly have some issues others can't get their mind around but hey a little l hear ya goes better than silence.
Do l trigger men here? Its like my comments kill a thread if l post on it...l hardly reply to posts because of this feeling.
And l won't go into the all the unhealthy posts in some of the forums here.

Hey guys,
I read your posts and see the pain you are going thru also. I haven't walked in your shoes as an adult being abused but rather as a kid. Normally I won't post in this forum because I really don't have any business to do so and respect that. I have sympathy for all of you here because I know what it's like to feel minimized and left out. It isn't right that everything is geared for early life abuse but I hope you guys don't give up either. Waves have been made in progress for men to be heard about their abuse. I know ASA seems to be the left out group but hope that it will change soon. I just want to say that I have been active in looking for resources and support regarding ASA. So far it has been slim in finding much on the subject. In comparison to 50 years ago, we as survivors are making progress in being heard. I know, it's not fast enough but it has gotten better for us. I have found that therapists and the mental health profession is behind in helping us. Something has to give and change. I commend your courage so far to talk about issues here. For now, all I can say is hang in there. Keep trying and never give up.

I can't say that my ASA was violent, but I know it can be difficult to discuss.

Mine was violent and damaging ...I find it easier to discuss as the years pass ...also, it's a source of healing to share it...

I do not think the lack of activity in this forum is due to the fact that information on the non-member side of MS is searchable.

By using a screen name that is not associated with any other account with identifying information, and not revealing one's current location or any other personally identifiable information, one can still be "anonymous" in a public forum.

I do not venture into the forums much anymore, and I post very infrequently. However, I do go into chat.

The information discussed in chat is not subject to search engines. If preferred, a temporary room can be created in chat for the purpose of having a specific discussion.

PMs are also another way in which real-time 1:1 discussion can take place in chat.

The Healing Circles which meet on Sunday and Wednesday and the Round Table which meets on Monday are also other real-time options.
