These are the words of Norway's Prime Minister in the wake of the tragic bombing and shootings that occured there. I was deeply moved.

"In a call for more openness and more democracy, I have a message to the person who attacked us: You're not going to destroy us. You're not destroying our democracy and our work for a better world. We're a small country but a very proud country. No one can bomb us to be quiet. No one can shoot us to be quiet. No one can ever scare us from being Norway"

- Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg

I was and still am very chocked that it took place in Norway. I mean, it's one of the safest countries in the world. I hope they will get over this atrocity as a nation. And won't lose their feeling of unity and openness to all.

while the perpetrator of this atrocity certainly deserves the maximum punishment Norway can deliver, it's heartening to hear that country's prime minister focus on healing and reconcilitation for the nation rather than revenge. America could have used more of this in the aftermath of 9/11.
