I'm not ready to say much about it but, in general, once I turned 12 it was over. At least I thought it was over. But when I was 20 years old it happened once again. From out of no where after 8 years of near silence and forgotten memories, he did it again. Same person, same place, one last time. I don't question it. But maybe I should.

That I think is the hardest part of all this....is recognizing that once abused...we are vulnerable to many ills until we deal with it...until we heal....
The attempt to be strong is what kills us...

Sorry that abuse happened to you, it sure is a tough break and undeserved. The betrayal of a family member is something many here also know, you're no longer alone with this. You'll be understood here, there's a lot of compassion and healing at your fingertips now. Go easy on yourself, no reason to hurry, you're right where you need to be at this time.
