just read about that.
in ny we also have a freshman state senator who recently revealed he was abused as a boy too - and said so before the election. i voted for him. i'm glad more men in these high profile political roles feel comfortable enough to tell.

Just goes to show everyone this is more serious that they thought. I am thankful for his honesty.

Good for Senator Brown for coming forward. However, I was very disturbed by the cynical comments by posters on a CBS News blog about the story.

There's just been a suicide at Camp Good News, the camp where Senator Brown said he had been molested. Another victim of molestation there had just come forward, according to lawyer Mitch Garabedian who represents the victim. Victim was molested in 1985. Andy and others,
I too sent him a small thankyou e-mail and told him how encouraging it is to hear people such as himself come forward. Today I got a letter from the US Senate and figured it was just some guy looking for money, but to my surprise it was an encouraging note from Senator Brown.
I am very impressed.
