I just read the letter at the NOMSV home page and it made me wonder. All the problems with the church are focusing on priests. However, we know here that women also abuse. Have any of you heard about abuse at the hands of nuns? Seems like that would have happened as well, but no one is talking about that.

this is a really good point. nuns probably abuse with an alarming frequency, just as preists do, because they have the the same isuues of sexual repression. That isnt to say that all clergy are unable to contain there desires, but i think people will find that any group of people that practice celibacy or show a decided bias against sex are high risk individuals for sexually acting out. We dont like to admit it, but even though most of those who have been sexually abused do not abuse others, abusers are usually abused themselves, and being abused makes you a higher risk for violent or criminal behavior. Sexually energy, i believe, always goes somewhere.

But that is beside the point, nuns can and do abuse children. They are probably almost immune to prosecution. Its just another ugly truth thats even worst than the original.

I was abused verbally, and emotionally by a nun she was the principal of our school.

I am sure there is a lot of abuse that went on and still goes on.

Mother Superior learned how to cover up all types of abuse at the hands of her underlings from the local RC Church hierarchy. She learned from someone experienced in putting kids lives into shredder, and covering up and defending the Sargents and Corporals in Christ's alleged army. Remember the Bishop is supposed to be the General in Christ's Army. Guess what, survivors of abuse are the terrorists when they decide to step forward and expose the perpetrators of this heinous War Crime. And this part is sad but true, the terrorists seem to always be one step ahead. They are stronger, clandestine, use simple, secret weapons, and are sometimes even willing to die for the cause in which they believe. Sorry to rant, just my humble opinion. I believe that, like the Third Reich, we have seen the rise of the RC Church, and we will now witness the fall. Real religion is in peoples hearts, not in buildings and Church Leaders.
