I'm 26. I'm wondering if its ok to watch a show that is really geared toward the teen crowd. Basically a show about growing up and going to High School. I believe that I'm doing this because of the lack of a social life I had in High School. Will this only cause me to dwell on the past or do you think its ok to watch?

I dont consider that you are too old to watch this stuff, it maybe an education for you.
If it is what you feel you need, then do it, if it hurts then turn away,
just a thought,

I think watching a show like that is fine. It is entertainment. I still watch Disney shows. Enjoy and have fun. Mark

Ain't nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I myself enjoy "juvenile" entertainment. And yeah it might be wish-fulfillment, but who cares? We surely deserve to enjoy the lives that were stolen from us. 'Sides, man can't live on "Law & Order" alone (much that NBC would convince us otherwise!) ((((((((((((JTT)))))))))))) Love, Scot

I like to read the Harry Potter novels. I liked the early Buffy the Vampire Slayer series when they were in high school (before it got too flaky). It was a joy for me to see how other people perceived that time, and to note how I saw it differently, or how I could relate to how other people saw it. Oddly, I don't get nostalgic to get back to that time (Good Lord who wants all that axiety...I've got enough of my own stuff now). These stories can help remind me of positive stuff that happened in the past as well as negative that had nothing to do with SA. It's a relief.
Besides a good story is a good story is a good story. If you gain from it, don't worry. If it isn't edifying, then move on from it. Asking questions is OK too. How else do we get answers?
