This is a song that has helped me when im down and out and have no hope I hope it will do the same for you.

MUMFORD & SONS LYRICS
"The Cave"

It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind

The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

‘Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind

So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's land

So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say

‘Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Here's another favorite enjoy.
Bastille
"Flaws"

When all of your flaws and all of my flaws
Are laid out one by one
A wonderful part of the mess that we made
We pick ourselves undone

All of your flaws and all of my flaws
They lie there hand in hand
Ones we've inherited, ones that we learned
They pass from man to man

There's a hole in my soul
I can't fill it I can't fill it
There's a hole in my soul
Can you fill it? Can you fill it?

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them up; let's finish what we've started
Dig them up, so nothing's left unturned

All of your flaws and all of my flaws,
When they have been exhumed
We'll see that we need them to be who we are
Without them we'd be doomed

There's a hole in my soul
I can't fill it I can't fill it
There's a hole in my soul
Can you fill it? Can you fill it?

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them up; let's finish what we've started
Dig them up, so nothing's left unturned

Oooooh
Oooooh

When all of your flaws
And all of my flaws are counted
When all of your flaws
And all of my flaws are counted

You have always worn your flaws upon your sleeve
And I have always buried them deep beneath the ground
Dig them up. Let's finish what we've started
Dig them up. So nothing's left unturned

Oooooh
Oooooh

All of your flaws and all of my flaws
Are laid out one by one
Look at the wonderful mess that we made
We pick ourselves undone

Thanks Pattom and Blue Sky for the recent songs.

And thanks to everyone for the 90,000 views!

Here is a new song I heard recently:

Here's one more. It helped me start the process of cuddling the little boy who had all these things happen.... I laid on the floor for somewhere around two hours, crying my head off, telling him that I'm here now and he's safe (among many other things...) This song came out when I was twelve (1976,) several years after the utter destruction of my sexuality at the hands of some friends of my parents, but right in the middle of the bullying, molestation, betrayals and other things that were happening. The little boy in the video looks a lot like I did at his age. It broke my heart. But I could finally connect with that little boy at long last, so it was worth it.

"I Never Cry," performed by Alice Cooper, from "Alice Cooper Goes to Hell."

http://youtu.be/p9m0oWP3qRE

If there's a tear on my face
It makes me shiver to the bones
It shakes me, baby

It's just a heartache
That got caught in my eye
And you know--
I never cry
I'll never cry

Sometimes I drink more than I need
'Til the TV's dead and gone
I may be lonely but I'm never alone
And the night
May pass me by
But I'll never cry

(chorus)

Take away, take away my eyes
Sometimes I'd rather be blind
Break a heart, break a heart of stone
Open it up, but don't ya leave it alone

And that's all I've got to give to you
Believe me babe, it ain't been used
My heart's a virgin, it ain't never been tried
And the night-- may pass me by
But I'll never cry

And ya know, ya know, ya know ya know ya know
I'll never cry
I'll never cry

Take away, take away my eyes
Some times I'd rather be blind
Break a heart, break a heart of stone
Open it up, but don't ya leave it alone

'Cause that's all I've got to give to you
Believe me babe, it ain't been used
My heart's a virgin, it ain't never been tried
And you know
I'll never cry
I'll never cry

Here's another photo montage to the same song that reminded me of what I missed all through grade school and high school, when numerous factors (including years of molestation already mentioned)all but destroyed my capacity for love. This is helping me release some of the grief I've been carrying over what I missed during these all-important years. I cried equally hard at this one: http://youtu.be/aHK4VQcpf6s

Like so, so many others, I found myself either unable or unwilling to cry while the worst of things were going on. Part of me was just unable to bring a normal child's response to a situation that was so pathological, and another part of me was so incredibly closed up for self-protection reasons that I vowed I would never reveal how anything numerous people did was hurting me. In either case, I virtually never cried.

But now, at long, long last, I can.

I hope you find these enlightening.

Bob
