Are you a New Warrior and a MaleSurvivor?

I am looking for such ones to further root the bonds of recovery and progress.

Please reply to this and I will get in touch with you.

I can't wait to see how you show up after your work at the Mankind Project weekend - it has been instrumental in my journey and helped me face my csa in a healthy growth oriented way. I am grateful to have rock solid support of other men from MkP in my life.

Me too Mountainous Buck,

I can already see the definition of MKP as it clears my heart and aligns my intentions, or rather , as I, a man of integrity.

Thank you,
Sam

Donnie,

Hey brother...

Let's see... Not to worry, yes, no, ok, I can empathize, yes, it is safe, very safe, nothing frightening, great, please look into it, awesome on reaching out to your dad, I am glad as well, Donnie, knowing you is a powerfully positive thing in my life.

This was done in fun, Donnie, if I screwed up the sequence, then I will correct it.

Bottom line, it is for every man who sees himself as a different person in his thoughts, actions and motivation, but needs help to get there.

Sam

Mkp helps men become who they really are-all men are allowed and it is a very safe place to face yourself and feel supported and challenged to grow deeper.

In some ways, MKP helps men know authentic masculinity-not bravado or stereotypes-real male-ness, and gives them tools to live life.

I have been to two events but not to a men's rite yet, does that count?

John,

You are always welcome in my wigwam, brother!

MKP New Warrior Training Adventure is a "passage" utilizing a skill set that is not commonly used in society. It is, as Mountainous buck states, "authentic masculinity".

A second PM group could be something like an open "IGroup", in that we will welcome any who are interested in learning more about MKP and working towards NWTA.

I am open to conversation along those lines...

Sam

I can only be me. I am glad to know more about MKP.

I had the honor of supporting Sam when he did his New Warrior weekend. This was my fifth staffing since my New Warrior weekend in May 2008. What I have discovered in my journey is that I can have a NON-sexual, intimate relationship with another man or men. I am in a closed men's group which meets every other Sunday for 3 hours. I can bring anything to this group and know that I will never be criticized, judged, or condemned. I am accepted, supported and blessed every time. When I staff, I push myself out of my comfort zone so that I can grow. It happens every time. The first couple of times that I staffed, I got triggered during one of the processes. Each time that happened, a couple of men, strangers, held me and comforted me while I experienced the emotions. I don't know where else I could find that kind of support.

If you are interested in knowing more about my experience or MKP in general, send me a PM or ask Sam how to reach me. I am more than willing to talk.

Grandfather,

Thank you Steve, for supporting me, and encouraging this part of the recovery journey.
Like the WoR, not attending this is like groping in the dark for an item that cannot be felt, it is life changing.
More than the WoR, and not taking anything away from this extremely necessary retreat, the NWTA I feel connects me to the non abused parts of my processes.
This connection makes possible the interaction between me, and everyone else where before there was isolation and negative thoughts.
Sam

Donnie,

Check out the MKP website at mkp.org. There is a good description of the New Warrior Training Adventure on the website. If you have any questions after you read it, please get in touch with me. If I don't have the answers, I'll do my best to get them for you. My intention is to staff the Memphis NWTA April 29-May 1, 2011. Perhaps you and Sam can join me there.

I'd like to know more about this. I just contacted the organization to potentially go this weekend (Nov 30) to San Diego. It's a short flight, and my supervisor just gave me the day off.

Though after reading about some of the inititations / rites of passage, it feels threatening.

What can I expect to experience? I was the victim of schoolyard bullying by many of my classmates because I had crossed eyes and severe hearing loss. I would love to be able to bust through the anxiety that my body still carries to this day.

Anyone else have experience with this?
